Napa Local Food is the one-stop-shop aimed at nurturing a sustainable local food system. The site’s purpose is to expand knowledge and awareness of local food resources, connect the community with local growers, and foster a better system for local production, distribution, and access. Exploring the Napa County food support network can mean purchasing food at local markets, starting a school garden or volunteering at one of Napa County’s community gardens, donating private land for farming, or supporting local restaurants that feature fresh ingredients produced by Napa farmers. Attending a meeting of the Local Food Advisory Council, checking out the Napa Farmer’s Guild, or serving on a committee or council are also great ways to get involved. The goal of promoting these resources is to inspire Napa County communities to adopt a more sustainable way of life, connect with local experts, and contribute to the local food system.
